I am a yoga instructor and a yoga therapist living in Talent, OR, with many years of experience working with diverse students and populations. I teach people with a range of experience and ability and have extensive training in several mind-body modalitiess.

The practice of yoga in its various forms continues to enrich my own life, and I especially encourage people who think that yoga isn't for them to try an individual session.

Benefits of Yoga

Yoga supports the whole person. It makes you feel better in mind and body, especially with regular practice. Yoga toolswhich are not just poses but include meditation, relaxation, and breathing exercises, among othersare, in the words of Timothy McCall, MD, "as close to one-stop-shopping you can find" for overall health and wellbeing. Whatever the motivation, yoga can be deeply beneficial for everyone, regardless of age, flexibility, or previous experience, simply because it is so adaptable to the individual.

It is always a good time to start doing yoga. Even a few minutes a day makes a difference. We all want to be as healthy and happy as we can be; the unique power of yoga practices is becoming increasingly well-recognized in our culture as a means to achieving lasting wellness and peace.  Yoga develops flexibility, strength, and a deepening awareness of the inner resources available in each and every moment to increase our sense of calm and resilience and natural joy.  It's a practice that you can do by yourself, for yourself, anytime, anywhere.
